1. Who We Are

WriteForMe is operated by Brian Anthony, based in Nottingham, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: brian@writeforme.xyz

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data when you place an order:

• Full name and email address
• Phone number and address (where provided in your brief)
• The content of your order brief (employment history, dispute details, business information, etc.)
• Payment information — processed and stored securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
• Order reference and transaction data

We also collect non-personal analytics data through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (session recordings). This data is anonymised and used solely to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Process your order and generate your document
• Deliver your document and any add-ons to your email address
• Send order confirmation, delivery, and follow-up emails
• Handle revision requests and refunds
• Improve our service (using anonymised data only)

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as necessary to deliver our service: Stripe (payment processing), Google Workspace (email delivery), and the service providers that host our website and process your brief to produce your documents, all under contract. If you accept advertising cookies, we also share a securely hashed (one-way encrypted) copy of your email address with Google and Meta so they can confirm whether an advert led to your order.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

• Contract performance — processing your order and delivering your document
• Legitimate interests — improving our service and preventing fraud
• Legal obligation — retaining transaction records as required by UK law

5. Data Retention

We retain your order data (name, email, brief, document) for 12 months following your order date, after which it is securely deleted. Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by UK tax law. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing brian@writeforme.xyz.

6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to processing of your personal data
• Request restriction of processing
• Data portability

To exercise any of these rights, email brian@writeforme.xyz. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use the following cookies:

• Essential cookies — required for the site to function (session management, Stripe checkout)
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (anonymised) and Microsoft Clarity (session recordings) to understand how visitors use our site
• Advertising cookies — Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Microsoft Ads, used only to measure whether our advertising led to an order. Set only if you accept optional cookies

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Our site uses HTTPS throughout. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store payment card details on our servers.
